[ MLS Zones 22, 34, 32, 40 and 42 ] Henrico County borders the City of Richmond to the north (and east) of the James River. Common names within Henrico are The West End (or Far West End), Glen Allen, Short Pump, Westham, Lakeside, Highland Springs and Varina. The housing stock of the county is almost exclusively suburban-styled detached single family homes or townhomes. The county contains more traditionally styled suburban neighborhoods that were built largely post-1960 (Lakeside being the notable exception) with a tremendous amount of newly constructed homes built during the boom of 2000-2008. The county is accessed by Interstates 64, 95 and 295. The Richmond International Airport and the Richmond Raceway complex are both located in eastern Henrico.
